I am so thankful to Charred Bistro for inviting me to their soft opening. Charred Bistro plans to open on Oct. 12th and I suggest you make your reservation now. The chef started our evening with an amuse bouche of fresh melon from Farmer Mikes U Pick and prosciutto. Let me take this moment to state that the two businesses have formed a beautiful partnership to acquire the freshest produce for the restaurant.
For appetizers, I sampled the Mediterranean charred octopus and the pork belly steam buns. The octopus was one of my favorite items of the night, tender texture with a perfect char rested in a kalamata olive puree. The pork belly was also cooked to perfection. I love a good wedge, so I opted for that as my salad choice. I told my lovely server, Rochelle I would (almost) cut off my left arm to eat that blue cheese everyday. For my entree, I chose the #7 wagyu Manhattan NY strip.
So, indulge for a moment while I give you a background on their steaks. Charred Bistro steaks come from a direct lineage of Japanese A5 cows. Their cows live in Australia, but are still treated the same as Japanese Wagyu (beer enriched diet, massages, and all). The steaks are “graded” 4 to the very special 9, hence the name for the number 7. Perfect marbling and char on the outside whilst still maintaining correct temperature on the inside. The truffle goat cheese butter was an added kiss of indulgence. Dinner was concluded with a pot de creme. The serving portion was ample. Decadent French chocolate that I would have loved to just stick my whole face into.

Tonight we had the opportunity to attend the soft opening of Charred Bistro down in Bonita Springs. The rebranding of Jimmy P’s Charred under Chef Jeff Acol, former owner and chef of A Table Apart, will open to the public on Monday. We had an outstanding experience. We started with the Charred octopus with Kalamata preserved lemon puree and the Wagyu beef carpaccio. Both appetizers were incredible. The truffle oil in the carpaccio made the dish, the shaved mushrooms, fried capers and shallots made for the perfect bite on crostini. The octopus was perfectly cooked and deliciously charred. When the time came to choose our entre´es Jeff chose the Wagyu New York Strip #7 served with truffle goat cheese butter, garlic mashed potatoes and asparagus. He said it might be the best steak he has ever had – he does not throw around compliments like that lightly so, coming from him, it means a whole lot! I tried the Wagyu strip steak #4, I like a little less marble in my steak, and it was fantastic too. Very well seasoned and beautifully charred. We ended the night with a cre`me bru^le´e, it was so good! Charred Bistro is beautiful and we left impressed by everything we tried! We can’t wait to bring friends and try the other delicious looking options on the menu. Thank you Charred Bistro for having us! We wish you all the best as you open your doors on Monday. We are confident you’ll do great!!
We were delighted to attend the soft opening this past weekend. GM Heather Ricciardo rolled out the red carpet and the food and service were both impeccable. Chef Jeff did an absolute amazing job and the meal from beginning to end totally went above and beyond our wildest expectations!

I was blown away, the food was amazing and the atmosphere blew me away. With awesome staff that was extremely knowledgeable of the menu and history of the Jimmy P’s brand.
For people who aren’t familiar with the Jimmy P’s they are a family owned business started in Naples in 1985 that specializes in Australian Wagyu Beef, Heritage Berkshire Pork, Poultry, Colorado prime lamb, veal and exotic game meats. With butcher shops in Naples and Bonita.
This new bistro location has amazing food and is perfect for a great dinner with family or an even better date night with a loved one. The prices might seem steep but you can’t match this quality and portions! Definitely check them out if you’re in Bonita!
